Google Talk is an excellent Text Chat and a Voice ...

Google Talk comes with all that you need to chat to others; being able to chat with the keyboard and talk to others over the internet no matter what country you are in. WIth image support you can now represent yourself with an Avatar image; similar to the display picture of Microsofts MSN Messenger. Google Talk is not overlayed with useless and annoying "Winks" and other annoying stuff that MSN Messenger has in it. Gtalk is the bare bones of a better civilization. Google Talk is now incorporated into Googles Gmail email service so you dont need to download and install anything on your computer just log in to your gmail account and use the features of Google Talk.

Google-Talk is better implemented in Gmail than st...

If you use Gmail (who doesn''t) and your browser supports scripting - you actually have Google talk built in - at least the text chattting part... it''s operated and run through yourt inbox, and that makes for a very natural interface. I just don''t see us dumping MESSENGER yet, and having several IM apps is tedious (and conceptually wrong)

Its Google Talk !!!

The name itself says that its to TALK. Google never mentioned it as a messenger, so how can any one expect file sharing, IM windows and emoticons? I will tell why Google talk is best: 1. Its a very light client (doesn't put load on your machine) 2. You can goto your inbox directly if you have it running 3. New email notification is included (so need not have gmail notifier) 4. Important is that, you need not worry about low bandwidth, you can still talk with it clearly. 5. Small client, easy installation, need not search for options in file menus What else do you need in a talking client?

Excellent Program (but not that popular as yahoo)

Advantages:---------- 1:>Very small yet effective. 2:>excellent one .. 3:>Excellent in Speeech communication (Just like Phone.. better that mobile ... and of course FREE !!) 4:> save all offline and online talks. Disadvantages : 1:> Not as popular as yahoo and MSN. 2:> Only avilabe to Gmail users.

It will be great in time.

Yes, it is lacking a few features, such as File Sharing, and Video Chat.. But that will all come in time. As for all those emoticons and background images.. Their crap. They just lead to bloating like Msn messenger and the new aim triton. Google talk is great because it is clean, ultra-slick, and lightwweight.

Its worth to download especially for those who want to speak with their dearones who r away. the soun quality is awesome and it cut cost ur telephone bills.
